![]() I'm not complaining because they're too easy, I'm complaining because the challenge is abstract. Hmm, I know I didn't express myself well, because it's a hard concept. There aren't tactical trades, or really even resource valuation.Īnyway, are there any campaigns or scenarios that are just well balanced and interesting to play where I don't have to stress out about keeping every single unit alive? It's not about accomplishing a goal, it's about recalling a mob of healers, alpha strikers, and tanks to bulldoze across the map, farming it for resources without losing a single unit. Recalling just takes all the interesting strategic decisions out of the game. I know it's partly my personality, but I can't enjoy the campaigns. ![]() The only drawback is you have to keep it alive (frankly, not hard, it has 2x the HP). ![]() It's at least 5x as good, but it costs less gold. Master Bowman hits 3x as hard melee, nearly 3x as hard ranged, and has double the HP. A new recruit bowman costs MORE after 7 turns than a loyal Master Bowman. For less than the cost of recruiting an expensive level 1 unit, you can recall a level 3 unit that's nigh unkillable, one shots everything, and if it's loyal, has no upkeep. If you do well on one mission, you rollover lots of gold and high level units. It really feels like the scenarios are imbalanced and players are pressured to keep a core of extremely powerful loyal units alive. I like campaigns, but I hate the snowball-nature of the default scenarios.
